You can add PDF and DOCX documents to a new visit as context for its notes. Attach up to 10 files, with each file no larger than 25 MB.
Choose Add files, then Start Visit when the source files are ready.
Add and review files
Open a new visit and choose the patient and note templates you need.
Select Add files and choose PDF or DOCX documents.
Wait for Extracting text… to finish.
Select a file to review its extracted text. Check that important details have been read correctly.
Use the remove button beside a file if you do not want to include it. Add any other relevant context in Notes.
If a file shows No readable text or Couldn't read file, replace it with a readable document or remove it before continuing. Do not assume that unreadable content will be included in your note.
Use files with a recording
Select Start Visit. Medical Scribe prepares the visit and uploads the attached source documents and their extracted text before recording starts. Wait for that preparation to finish before beginning the conversation.
Generate notes without recording
With at least one document attached and a note template selected, open the menu beside Start Visit and choose Generate notes without recording. Medical Scribe creates the visit and generates notes from the available context without capturing audio.
View the attached source later
Open the visit’s Files tab and select the attachment to view its extracted text. The Files tab notes that extracted text is included only in the visit’s initial note generation.
