Open the official <a href="https://medicalscribe.app/downloads/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Medical Scribe Downloads page</a> and choose the version for your computer:

Mac: the download supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.

Linux: the download is an x86-64 AppImage.

Open the downloaded package using your computer's normal installation flow, then open Medical Scribe and sign in. On Windows, use Open web app from the Downloads page.

Finish your current visit and check that it has uploaded before restarting the app.

On Mac, open the Medical Scribe application menu and choose Check for Updates. On Linux, look in the Help menu.

Follow the update prompt. If an update is ready, restart Medical Scribe when you are ready to install it.

If an update check or download fails, check your internet connection and try Check for Updates again. Contact Help Desk if the problem continues.

Allow microphone access to record a visit. On Mac, recording computer audio for remote visits also needs Screen Recording permission. Linux records microphone audio only.

If your computer is managed by your clinic and installation or permissions are restricted, ask your IT administrator for help.
